Expensive Truckee Restaurants

While Truckee is a pretty casual town, there are a few Expensive Truckee Restaurants to choose from. When you add in the Downtown Truckee Dining options, with the Northstar Restaurants, and the Squaw Valley Restaurants, there is a great variety of fine dining options available.

Truckee is just about 20-25 minutes from Lake Tahoe in one direction, and Reno, Nevada in the other direction. This proximity opens up an additional abundance of Lake Tahoe Restaurants for those either living in the Truckee area or visiting.

I would have to say that My Favorite among this group would have to be Mikuni Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar at the Village at Northstar, because I am a Sushi Freak and could eat it everyday!

I've spent a lot of time at the Resort at Squaw Creek, and everything that they have food wise, in my opinion is fantastic and upscale.

Any Restaurant up at High Camp, Squaw Valley, at 8,200 Feet after a breathtaking Cable Car Ride to the top, is fantastic based on the Views of Squaw Valley and Lake Tahoe alone on a clear day. (Those afraid of heights might benefit by having a cocktail before the trip!) Perfect romantic date night dinner - The Summer Sunset Dining is spectacular and something not to be missed!

Of the Lake Tahoe Restaurants, Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge is a Favorite, as well as Jake's on the Lake, both in Tahoe City.
