Gingerbread House

Making a Gingerbread House is a super fun family activity for your Holidays in Truckee, and was one of the funnest Christmas crafts that I've made! My kids used to love to make them every year when they were young.

The Resort at Squaw Creek, in Olympic Valley, CA has a Gingerbread Village each year in December that is worth checking out!

In 2004, my workplace had a Christmas Team Building Gingerbread House Contest. They bought the basic Kits, and lots of fun food and candy supplies. We were broken up into teams of four and given a set time for creating our masterpieces. Other employees and visitors to City Hall got to vote for the winners. It was actually one of the funnest Team Building Events that we had.

Our Team Won......with "Kincaid's Quaint Country Christmas Candy Cottage". We actually donated all of our entries to the local hospitals Children's wards to enjoy for the Holidays!
