The Shoreline Park in Truckee, California at Donner Lake, is owned and maintained by the Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District.
Shoreline Park is located on Donner Pass Road on the North shore of Donner Lake, in Truckee, California about halfway down the lake. (map coming soon!)
Barbeque and Picnic Tables: This park is a great place for a picnic and has several picnic tables and a Barbeque. Due to all the trees, there is lots of shade, so it is a great place to hang out on the hot summer days and relax and watch the boats.
Boat Launch: The park has an area were you can back up and hand launch small boats and windsurfers.
The Truckee Donner Recreation & Parks District has 4 Pico Laser Sailboats, and offers Sailing Camps and Sailing Race Clinics over the summer from Shoreline Park, so this is a great place to hang out and watch some sailing! Fishing Pier: An All Access Fishing Pier was built with grant money from the State Wildlife Conservation Board. The Pier was designed to provide lake access for people with any level of physical disability.
This is a great facility and has amazing views of the Donner Lake and the surrounding mountains!
Parking and Restrooms: There is also restroom facilities and limited parking available at Shoreline Park.
The park itself is not a gated facility, and therefore is open year round.
