Truckee Music Scene

The Truckee Music Scene is Awesome!! There are so many fun events in Truckee and Lake Tahoe that revolve around music. In addition, the Casino's at Lake Tahoe and Reno, Nevada draw big name musical talent, so there are always tons of options nearby!

This page will look at some of the Truckee Music Events such as the Summer Music Series and the Truckee Thursday bands. I'll cover some of the area's Music centered events, and which Truckee Restaurants & Truckee Bars have live Music.

And, I'll look at the Truckee Music Stores, and locations in Truckee where you can obtain Music Lessons.

NOTE: The 2011 music dates below will be updated with the 2012 dates and band info, as soon as they becomes available!

Pictured at Right: My daughter Brie Storz, singing. Brie has an incredible voice, and could easily make a living singing. She tried out for American Idol in 2007, which was an incredible experience. Having kids, forced me to get out of my generations music that I grew up on (now considered the Oldies or Classic Rock), and experience a mix of today's music! Music was always playing at our house when the kids were home, and I think I am still half deaf from the volume of the music in the car when Brie was/is present!

2012 Truckee Live Music - Bars & Restaurants

There are several local Truckee Bars and Restaurants that have live music each week:

Bar of America - Live Bands every weekend starting around 9:30pm! Check Bar of America Event Calendar for whose playing!

Cottonwood Restaurant - Live "Acoustic" music on Thursday & Friday nights starting at 7pm in winter in the Fireside Room, and at 6pm during warmer months on the deck. Check out the Cottonwood Music Event Calendar.
