Since I stay at a friends cabin at Donner Lake when I come up to Truckee, we often drive in to town and rent bikes from The BackCountry, and then ride them through the Donner Memorial State Park and then around Donner Lake and back to the bike store. The staff at The BackCountry is super helpful. It is a nice one to two hour ride around the lake!
